In the game, players assume control of Joel, a middle-aged smuggler tasked with escorting a 14-year-old girl named Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States in an attempt to create a potential cure against the world-ending infection to which Ellie is immune. Ellie’s immunity is one of the core elements of The Last of Us, and largely drives the story onward. How she became immune, however, remains a mystery, even to longtime fans.
I would like to see another immune person try to seek out Ellie and try to discover why he/she would be immune instead finding Abby who would feed her the story of the how Joel killed her father and how Ellie killed her friends. But I would also like to see what we all saw as the player in the last of us two. The good in both of them.
