This is a demonstration of BMW Park Assist (5DP) which I got as part of Advanced Parking package (ZAP). This system work both for parallel parking:
The owner's manual section "PDC Park Distance Control" on page 139 has some good information. The PDC will turn on automatically when you get close to something. It is possible to turn off automatic activation of the PDC in idrive. You can the check Settings->Parking menu. M.
Press and hold the ParkSense button (located on the center stack) for five seconds. 3. Start the engine. The system will now be reset and ready to use. ParkSense Active Park Assist with Stop 6 is based on four sensors in your vehicle’s fascia that detect when you approach an obstacle and alert you.
For an extra $700 to $1000, BMW drivers can add the Driving Assistance Package (called Active Driving Assistant) to their BMW if it doesn’t come standard with the vehicle. However, owners of BMWs with this package should consider upgrading to the BMW Driving Assistance Professional Package for added protection. Park Distance Control, or PDC, is a system of front and rear parking sensors that comes with your BMW. The sensors keep an eye on the regions in front and behind the vehicle and send out an auditory and visual alarm when they detect a possible obstacle. When reverse gear is engaged, the system automatically turns on.
Park assist plus allows your BMW to self Park perpendicular or parallel - this indicates the perpendicular parking. This is a BMW M440i X- Drive coupe 2021 Mo
