No other running shoe series has had a bigger turnaround than the Mach series. Last year, the Mach went from a relatively unknown shoe, to one of the most popular Hoka trainers. The recipe for the Mach 4 was simple: light, cushioned and comfortable. It makes you wonder why other brands don’t stick to this winning template.
Although this shoe is, overall, one of the more cushioned options in our review, the 18mm stack height is on the narrower end of the spectrum. Combined with deep, 5mm lugs, this shoe is a capable climber in almost any trail condition. HOKA designers may benefit from changing the source of their outsole rubber in terms of durability.

The next shoe in the series, One Infinite, seem to fix past mistakes. This shoe is constructed with air mesh to promote breathability, flexibility, and comfortability. Veteran consumers of Hoka will notice the soft sock-resembling interior and unique overlays, which will enrichen the entire running experience.
