Infinite's ending is amazing because of how mindblowing and bittersweet it is. Booker's sacrifice for Elizabeth was heartbreaking and heartwarming. It was emotional. Burial at Sea just sh*ts mercilessly on all of it and leaves me depressed with no way of going back.
The begining of Episode 2 has a thug firing a pistol at her head, but it jams multiple times. this indictates that in different realities the pistol didn't jam and Elizabeth was shot dead while unconscious. The whole theme of the Part 2 was that sometimes you aren't the one that achieves your goal.
BioShock 2's good ending felt more happy/bittersweet than sad personally. Burial at Sea II is a lot more depressing while slightly bittersweet, the way how the dialogue and the music make this scene hit me like a train, then a tank, then a car and a few Elephants by how it made me felt "depressed".
