Bird became just the third player in NBA history to win three consecutive MVP Awards during the 1985–86 season, averaging 25.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 2 steals per game. At the midway point of the third quarter Larry Bird re-entered the game. To the delight of the Garden crowd, Bird scored 14 points in the remaining minutes of the quarter.

Larry Bird scored a total of 21,791 points, 25th on the all-time scoring list in NBA history. He averaged 24.3 points per game in his career.

Bird put up 27.4 points on 48.4 percent shooting to go with 14.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in the finals, which included a 29-21 effort in a Game 4 win.

Over his first nine seasons (he was part of a 1982 trade with the Jazz that delivered Dominique Wilkins to the Hawks), he never averaged worse than 18.5 points per game, and six times put up over 20 per game. Prices for this one are fairly strong thanks to the rookie card duo. 6. Fred Brown / Larry Bird (Rebounding Leader) / Ron Brewer
